Stephanie Hill (Ms. Hill) 
Ms. Hill, as the students at Pimeria Alta call her, graduted from the University of Arizona in 2007 with her Masters in Library & Infiormation Science. She has been working in the education field since 2003. She has been with the Santa Cruz County Regional School Districtt since December 2009, collaborating on the opening of the new library in March 2010. Miss Hill manages the joint-use library serving both our students at Pimeria Alta and secondly the general public. She also teaches the computertechnology and web design courses enabling the students to graduate with 21st century skills and earned technology credit.
Ms. Hill was honored with being accepted into the American Library Association Class of 2011 Emerging Leaders. She presented at the 2011 ASCLA Virtual Convergence (Association for Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies) on "Starting a New Library for At-Risk Young Adults in a Digitally Divided Community". She has been published in the May/June 2011 issue, volueme 50, No. 3 of Public Libraries, the official magazine of the Public Library Association. |
